Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial product with applications in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum (aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts production), silicon optoelectronic devices, and many other industries. Known as the 'salt' of modern industries, metal silicon is produced from quartz and coke in electric heating furnaces. The primary component, silicon, constitutes about 98%, with impurities like iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. Quartz undergoes redox to become molten silicon, which solidifies upon cooling into large primal lumps.
These large silicon metal lumps are then processed into smaller, standard-sized lumps ranging from 10-100mm.
Silver-gray or dark gray with a metallic luster, silicon metal boasts a high melting point, exceptional heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively used in refractory materials and powder metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the field of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as the fundamental raw material for producing high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a crucial raw material for integrated circuits and electronic components in high-tech industries.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is used as an iron base alloy additive, improving the hardenability of silicon steel.
5) Silicon metal is essential in producing high-temperature materials.
Our primary products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, and silicon aluminum barium calcium, among others. We also export refractory materials and other metallurgical products, with customization available to meet customer specifications.
The company operates a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This setup supports the manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system, enabling a one-stop production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
