Ferrosilicon is a high-grade ferro alloy composed of iron and silicon. This superior ferrosilicon alloy is meticulously crafted from coke, steel scraps, and quartz (or silica) smelted in an advanced electric furnace. Renowned for its ability to easily synthesize with oxygen into silicon dioxide, ferrosilicon serves as an exceptional deoxidizer in steelmaking processes. Additionally, the generation of SiO2 releases significant heat, thereby elevating the temperature of molten steel during deoxidation.
