Tailored FeCr Ferrochromium - The Ultimate Low Carbon Ferro Chrome for Precision Steel Manufacturing
Steel manufacturing leads the demand for Ferro Chrome, particularly in stainless steel production where chromium content ranges from 10% to 20%. This critical component ensures durability and resistance.
Ferro-Chrome with chrome content under 56%, known as 'charge chrome,' is derived from ore with lower chrome content. On the other hand, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, produced from superior grade ore, is predominantly utilized in specialized applications such as engineering steels. Here, a high Cr to Fe ratio and minimal impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium are crucial.
Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is essential in steel production for fine-tuning chrome percentages without introducing unwanted carbon or trace elements. It presents a cost-effective alternative to metallic chrome, suitable for super alloys and other specialized melting applications.
