Product Description
 

Steel manufacturing, particularly stainless steel production with a chromium content ranging from 10% to 20%, remains the foremost consumer of Ferro Chrome.

Known as 'charge chrome,' Ferro-Chrome with under 56% chrome content is derived from ore with lower chrome grades. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, sourced from superior grade ore, is prevalent in specialized fields such as engineering steels, where a superior Cr to Fe ratio and minimal levels of contaminants like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium are crucial.

During steel production, Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is instrumental in fine-tuning chrome percentages without introducing unwanted carbon or trace element fluctuations. It also serves as a cost-effective alternative to metallic chrome in super alloys and specialized melting applications.
