Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial product with diverse applications spanning steel-making, cast iron, aluminum production (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts), silicon optoelectronic devices, and numerous other industries. Often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries, silicon metal is produced from quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The primary component is silicon, accounting for approximately 98% of its content. Minor impurities include iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. During the process, quartz undergoes redox reactions, transforming into molten silicon liquid. Upon cooling, this liquid solidifies into large primal silicon metal lumps.
These large lumps are then processed into smaller lumps that meet the standard size requirements. The final Silicon Metal Lumps range in size from 10mm to 100mm.
The silicon metal has a striking silver-gray or dark gray appearance with a metallic luster. It boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively used in the refractory materials and powder metallurgy industry, enhancing heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as the fundamental raw material for high-polymer organic silicon formation.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical material in high-tech fields, particularly for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry applications, industrial silicon powder acts as an iron base alloy additive and as a pharmaceutical agent in silicon steel, significantly improving steel hardenability.
5) Silicon metal is also crucial in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our core product line includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. Additionally, we export refractory materials and other metallurgical products, offering customization to meet customer specifications.
The company operates a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three production lines, achieving seamless operation through a manganese series hot charging and mixing system, thereby ensuring high-quality, high-yield production with low consumption.
