Customized FeCr Ferrochromium Low Carbon Ferro Chrome
Ferro Chrome is an essential element in the steel manufacturing industry, particularly in the production of stainless steel, where it contributes to chromium content levels of between 10% and 20%. Its critical role ensures durability and corrosion resistance, making it indispensable in high-quality steel production.
Ferro-Chrome with a chromium content below 56%, referred to as 'charge chrome', is derived from ores with lower chrome content. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, originating from premium grade ore, is predominantly utilized in specialized engineering steels. It boasts a high Cr to Fe ratio and maintains minimal levels of unwanted elements like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium, making it ideal for precision applications.
Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is pivotal in steel production for adjusting chromium levels without disrupting carbon or trace element balances. This cost-effective substitute for metallic chrome is also employed in super alloys and other specialized melting processes, ensuring optimum performance and cost efficiency.
