Silicon manganese alloy is an expertly engineered compound consisting of manganese, silicon, iron, and trace elements like carbon. Renowned for its versatility and high production volume, it ranks second in electric furnace ferroalloy consumption. The strong oxygen affinity of manganese and silicon enhances its deoxidizing prowess in steelmaking, forming mnsio3 and mn2sio4 with melting points of 1270 ºC and 1327 ºC, respectively. Benefits include a reduced melting point, large particle size, and efficient floating capability, delivering superior deoxidation. Notably, using silicon manganese alloy for deoxidation results in a reduced burn loss rate of 29%, compared to 46% for manganese and 37% for silicon separately. The alloy is produced via simultaneous reduction of manganese ore, manganese oxide, and silicon dioxide within a submerged arc furnace, utilizing carbon as the reducing agent.
Our diverse product range includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also specialize in exporting refractory materials and a variety of metallurgical products. Custom processing is available to meet specific customer requirements.
Equipped with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding production lines, we have mastered the manganese series' hot charging and mixing systems. This infrastructure allows for a streamlined, one-stop production process characterized by high quality, excellent yield, and reduced consumption.
