Customized FeCr Ferrochromium - Premium Low Carbon Ferro Chrome for Superior Performance
Steel production is the largest consumer of Ferro Chrome, particularly in the creation of stainless steel containing 10 to 20% chromium. This element is essential for enhancing the properties and longevity of the steel.
Ferro-Chrome with a chrome content below 56%, referred to as 'charge chrome,' is made from lower-grade chrome ore. On the other hand, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, sourced from higher-grade ore, is preferred for specialized applications like engineering steels. It features a high Cr to Fe ratio and minimal impurities, such as sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium, meeting stringent quality demands.
Low-Carbon Ferro-Chrome is indispensable in steel production for fine-tuning chrome levels without introducing unwanted variations in carbon or trace elements. It is an economical substitute for metallic chrome, ideal for super alloys and other specialized melting applications.
