Silicon Metal is a vital industrial product extensively used in steel-making, cast iron, and aluminum industries, including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts production. In addition, it plays a significant role in silicon optoelectronic devices and numerous other sectors, earning its title as the 'salt' of modern industries. Crafted from quartz and coke in electric heating furnaces, this silicon metal boasts a primary silicon content of about 98%, with the remaining impurities being iron, aluminum, calcium, and other trace elements.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. Through the redox process, quartz transforms into molten silicon liquid. Once cooled, it solidifies into the sizable primal silicon metal lumps we see.
These large silicon metal lumps are then processed into smaller, standardized sizes, ranging from 10-100mm in diameter.
The silicon metal appears in a silver-gray or dark gray hue with a metallic luster. It is renowned for its high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely utilized in the refractory material and power metallurgy industries, Silicon Metal enhances heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as the fundamental raw material for forming high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is converted into monocrystalline silicon, which is indispensable in the high-tech sector, primarily for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry applications, industrial silicon powder functions as an additive for iron-based alloys and silicon steel alloy pharmaceuticals, significantly improving steel hardenability.
5) Silicon metal is integral to the production of high-temperature materials.
Our principal products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, silicon barium calcium, and more. Additionally, our company is engaged in the export business of refractory materials and other metallurgical products. We offer processing services tailored to customer specifications.
The company operates a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, along with three cladding line production lines. This setup enables the seamless execution of the manganese series' hot charging and hot mixing system, facilitating a one-stop production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
