Silicon manganese alloy is a sophisticated blend of manganese, silicon, iron, and trace amounts of carbon and other elements, forming a versatile iron alloy with significant industrial application and substantial production volume. It stands as the second most utilized ferroalloy product in electric furnace operations. Manganese and silicon in this alloy exhibit a robust affinity for oxygen, making it an ideal choice for steelmaking. When used in this process, the deoxidation by-products, MnSiO3 and Mn2SiO4, have melting points of 1270 ºC and 1327 ºC, respectively. This alloy's benefits include a lower melting point, the formation of large particles, ease of flotation, and effective deoxidation. Under identical conditions, independent silicon or manganese deoxidation experiences burning loss rates of 37% and 46%, respectively, while silicon manganese alloy reduces it to just 29%. This alloy is manufactured by reducing manganese ore (including manganese-rich slag) along with manganese oxide and silicon dioxide in silica using carbon in a submerged arc furnace.
Our flagship products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium, among others. We also specialize in the export of refractory materials and other metallurgical products, with customization available to meet specific customer requirements.
Equipped with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three advanced cladding line production systems, our company achieves a seamless operation process. This includes the innovative manganese series hot charging and mixing system, facilitating a one-stop production process that is both high in quality and yield, with minimal consumption.
