Silicon Metal stands as a cornerstone of modern industry, crucial in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), silicon optoelectronic devices, and a myriad of other industries. Aptly termed the 'salt' of modern industries, metallic silicon is derived from quartz and coke smelted in electric furnaces, boasting a silicon content of approximately 98%. The remainder comprises impurities like iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Produced through the smelting of quartz and coke in electric furnaces, Silicon Metal lumps emerge as molten silicon, which solidifies upon cooling. The initial lumps are quite large, but are later processed
into standardized smaller lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm.
Characterized by a silver-gray or dark gray hue with a metallic sheen, Silicon Metal features a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively utilized in refractory materials and powder metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for the formation of high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is transformed into monocrystalline silicon, a pivotal material in high-tech sectors, notably essential for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) Within metallurgy and foundry lines, industrial silicon powder acts as an iron-based alloy additive and silicon steel alloy agent, thereby improving steel hardenability.
5) Silicon Metal is integral in the manufacture of high-temperature materials.
Our core products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. Additionally, we engage in exporting refractory materials and other metallurgical products, with customization available to meet customer specifications.
Our facilities boast a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This infrastructure supports the streamlined operation of our manganese series hot charging and hot mixing systems, enabling a one-stop production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
