Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial product, pivotal in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum production (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts), silicon optoelectronics, and numerous other industries. Often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries, silicon metal is created by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The primary component, silicon, constitutes about 98%, with the remaining impurities being iron, aluminum, calcium, etc.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes redox reactions, forming molten silicon, which solidifies upon cooling into large primal silicon metal lumps. These are subsequently processed
into smaller, standard-sized lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm.
Exhibiting a silver-gray or dark-gray hue with a metallic luster, Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, significant resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely used in refractory materials and powder metallurgy to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for organic silicon polymers.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, essential in high-tech fields for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry sectors, industrial silicon powder is utilized as an iron base alloy additive, enhancing the properties of silicon steel by improving its hardenability.
5) Essential in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our product range includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also export refractory materials and other metallurgical products, customized to meet customer specifications.
Our facilities include one 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium-frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This infrastructure supports a streamlined, one-stop production process for high-quality, high-yield, and low-consumption operations in the manganese series hot charging and hot mixing systems.
