Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial product, playing a crucial role in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum production (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts), and silicon optoelectronic devices, among other industries. Revered as the 'salt' of modern industries, Silicon Metal is produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The primary component of this metal is silicon, boasting a purity of about 98%, with minor impurities like iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are created in an electric heating furnace through the smelting of quartz and coke. During this process, quartz undergoes a redox reaction, transforming into molten silicon liquid. Upon cooling, it solidifies into the large silicon metal lumps we recognize. These large lumps are subsequently processed
into smaller, standard-sized lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm.
The product exhibits a silver-gray or dark gray color with a distinctive metallic luster. It features a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively utilized in refractory materials and the powder metallurgy industry to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, especially in organic silicon applications, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for forming organic silicon polymers.
3) Industrial silicon powder can be sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a vital raw material in the high-tech sector for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry processes, industrial silicon powder acts as an additive for iron-based alloys and a pharmaceutical agent for silicon steel, significantly enhancing steel hardenability.
5) Silicon metal is also employed in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our primary offerings include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also specialize in exporting refractory materials and other metallurgical products. Custom processing based on client specifications is available.
The company boasts a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This infrastructure facilitates the manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system, enabling a streamlined, one-stop production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
