Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial product utilized in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum industries (including aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), and silicon optoelectronic devices, among many others. Often referred to as the "salt" of modern industries, Silicon Metal is produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The primary component, silicon, constitutes approximately 98%, with the remainder comprised of impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are created in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. Through a redox reaction, quartz is transformed into molten silicon, which solidifies upon cooling. Initially formed as large lumps, these are then processed
into smaller, standardized sizes ranging from 10-100mm.
This metal is characterized by its silver-gray or dark gray color with a metallic luster, and it boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely applied in refractory materials and power metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as the foundational raw material for the formation of high polymers in organic silicon.
3) Sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, industrial silicon powder is essential in high-tech fields, serving as a fundamental material for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry applications, industrial silicon powder is used as an additive for iron-based alloys and silicon steel, improving the hardenability of steel.
5) Utilized in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our main products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. Additionally, we engage in the export of refractory materials and other metallurgical products. We offer product processing tailored to customer specifications.
The company operates a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This setup enables us to execute manganese series hot charging and hot mixing systems, achieving a streamlined, high-quality, high-yield, and low-consumption production process.
