Silicon Metal is an essential industrial product used in diverse sectors such as steel-making, cast iron, aluminum production (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts), silicon optoelectronic devices, and many more. Known as the 'salt' of modern industries, it is produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace, yielding a silicon content of approximately 98%, with the remaining impurities being iron, aluminum, calcium, etc.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. During the process, quartz undergoes reduction-oxidation reactions, transforming into molten silicon liquid. Once cooled, it solidifies into large primal silicon metal lumps.
These large lumps are then refined and broken down into smaller lumps, referred to as standard size Silicon Metal Lumps, ranging from 10-100mm.
With a silver-gray to dark-gray hue and a metallic luster, Silicon Metal is known for its high melting point, excellent heat resistance, superior resistivity, and outstanding oxidation resistance.
1) Widely used in refractory materials and power metallurgy industries, Silicon Metal significantly enhances heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for the synthesis of high polymer organic silicone.
3) Industrial silicon powder is converted into monocrystalline silicon, a critical material in high-tech fields, particularly for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is used as an additive in iron-based alloys and as a key agent in the production of silicon steel, thereby improving steel hardenability.
5) Silicon Metal is also crucial in producing high-temperature resistant materials.
Our primary offerings include ferromanganese, silicon metal, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, silicon barium calcium, among others. We also specialize in exporting refractory materials and various metallurgical products, with the capability to process products as per customer specifications.
Equipped with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding production lines, our company excels in the seamless production of manganese series hot charging and mixing systems, ensuring a one-stop high-quality, high-yield, and low-consumption manufacturing process.
