Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial product, utilized extensively in steelmaking, cast iron, aluminum production (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts), as well as in the silicon optoelectronic device industry, among others. It is often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries. Silicon metal is produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace, resulting in a product with approximately 98% silicon content. The remaining impurities include iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal Lump is produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes redox reactions to become molten silicon liquid, which solidifies upon cooling into large primal silicon metal lumps. These large lumps
are then broken down into smaller, standard-sized lumps, which typically range from 10-100mm.
With a striking silver-gray or dark gray hue and metallic luster, Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively used in refractory materials and the powder metallurgy industry to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as the foundational raw material for the synthesis of organic silicon high polymers.
3) Industrial silicon powder is used to create monocrystalline silicon, a crucial material in high-tech fields, playing a vital role in the production of integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry industries, industrial silicon powder acts as an additive in iron-based alloys and is used to manufacture silicon steel alloy pharmaceuticals, enhancing the hardenability of steel.
5) Silicon Metal is essential in the manufacturing of high-temperature materials.
Our main products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, silicon barium calcium, among others. We also engage in the export of refractory materials and various metallurgical products, with the ability to process products according to customer specifications.
Our company operates one 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This enables us to execute a seamless manganese series hot charging and hot mixing process, ensuring high quality, high yield, and low consumption in our production.
