Product Description

Steel production, particularly stainless steel manufacturing with chromium content ranging from 10% to 20%, heavily relies on Ferro Chrome, making it the largest consumer.

Ferro-Chrome with a chrome content below 56% is referred to as 'charge chrome', derived from ore with a reduced chrome concentration. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, sourced from superior grade ore, is preferred for specialized applications like engineering steels where a high Chromium to Iron ratio and minimal impurity levels of sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium are crucial.

Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is instrumental in steel production for adjusting chromium levels, ensuring minimal carbon or trace element fluctuations. It serves as a cost-effective replacement for metallic chrome in super alloys and other unique melting applications.
