Silicon Metal is a highly essential industrial product, pivotal in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum industries (including aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), and silicon optoelectronic devices, among many others. Renowned as the "salt" of modern industries, silicon metal is synthesized from quartz and coke through electric furnace smelting. Its core composition boasts about 98% silicon, with residual impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Produced in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke, the molten silicon metal undergoes a redox reaction, transforming into a molten state. Upon cooling, it solidifies into substantial lumps.
Subsequently, these large primal lumps are fragmented into smaller standard-sized lumps, ranging from 10-100mm.
Exhibiting a silver-gray or dark gray hue with metallic luster, silicon metal is characterized by its high melting point, excellent heat resistance, elevated resistivity, and outstanding oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively utilized in the refractory material and powder metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as the fundamental raw material for high polymers of organic silicon formation.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical raw material for integrated circuits and electronic components widely used in high-tech fields.
4) In metallurgy and foundry sectors, industrial silicon powder acts as an additive to iron base alloys, enhancing the hardenability of steel.
5) Silicon metal is integral to the production of high-temperature materials.
Our expansive product range includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also specialize in exporting refractory materials and other metallurgical products, with customization available to meet specific customer requirements.
Our state-of-the-art facilities feature a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium-frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding production lines. This setup enables the efficient operation of the manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system, leading to a streamlined one-stop production process that ensures high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
