Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial product, utilized across steel-making, cast iron, aluminum (including aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), silicon optoelectronic devices, and numerous other industries. Often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries, this metal is crafted from quartz and coke through electric heating furnace smelting. Containing approximately 98% silicon, the residual impurities include iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. Through a redox process, quartz transforms into molten silicon liquid. Upon cooling, it solidifies into large primal silicon metal lumps, which are further processed
into smaller, standard-sized lumps, ranging from 10-100mm.
With a striking silver-gray or dark gray metallic luster, Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively applied in refractory material and powder metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for producing high polymer organic silicon formulations.

4) In metallurgy and foundry sectors, industrial silicon powder is an essential additive for iron base alloys, silicon steel pharmaceutical alloys, thereby improving steel hardenability.
