Silicon Metal is an invaluable industrial product, essential for steel-making, cast iron, aluminum (crucial in aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts production), silicon optoelectronic devices, and a multitude of other industries. Known as the "salt" of modern industries, our Silicon Metal is crafted from quartz and coke via an electric heating furnace. Comprising approximately 98% silicon, it includes minor impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are forged in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. During this process, quartz undergoes redox reactions, transforming into molten silicon. Upon cooling, this molten silicon solidifies into large silicon metal lumps, which are subsequently
broken down into smaller, standard-sized lumps. These Silicon Metal lumps range from 10-100mm.
Exhibiting a silver-gray or dark-gray hue with a metallic luster, Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, impressive resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely used in refractory materials and the powder metallurgy industry to significantly enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for high polymer organic silicon formation.
3) Industrial silicon powder is refined into monocrystalline silicon, a pivotal material in the high-tech sector for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry sectors, industrial silicon powder acts as a crucial alloy additive in silicon steel, enhancing the steel's hardenability.
5) Integral in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our diverse product range includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also export refractory materials and various other metallurgical products, offering customization to meet specific customer requirements.
Our state-of-the-art infrastructure features a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium-frequency electric furnaces, and three advanced cladding line production lines. This setup supports a streamlined production process for manganese series with hot charging and hot mixing systems, ensuring high-quality, efficient production with minimal consumption.
