Customized FeCr Ferrochromium Low Carbon Ferro Chrome
Steel production is the largest consumer of Ferro Chrome, especially stainless steel manufacturing, requiring a chromium content between 10% and 20%. This high-demand application underscores the essential role of High Purity Low Carbon Ferro Chrome in the steel industry.
Ferro-Chrome with chromium content below 56%, known as 'charge chrome,' is produced from lower-grade chrome ore. On the other hand, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, derived from higher-grade ore, is favored for specialist applications such as engineering steels where a high Cr to Fe ratio and minimal impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium are crucial.
Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is vital in steel production for accurately adjusting chrome percentages without introducing unwanted variations in carbon or trace elements. It's also a cost-effective alternative to metallic chrome in super alloys and other specialized melting applications, offering both efficiency and performance.
