Silicon Metal is an essential industrial product with versatile applications in steel-making, cast iron, and aluminum production, including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts. It's also pivotal for silicon optoelectronic devices and numerous other industries, earning the moniker 'salt of modern industries.' Composed mainly of 98% silicon, with minor impurities like iron, aluminum, and calcium, Metal Silicon is derived from smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace.
Produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke, Silicon Metal lumps form through a redox reaction that converts quartz to molten silicon liquid. Once cooled, it solidifies into large primal silicon metal lumps, which are then processed
into smaller, standard-sized lumps ranging from 10-100mm.
Characterized by a silver or dark gray hue with a metallic luster, Silicon Metal has a high melting point, exceptional heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely used in refractory materials and power metallurgy, Silicon Metal enhances heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as the fundamental raw material for forming high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical raw material in the high-tech sector for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder acts as an iron base alloy additive and a silicon steel alloy pharmaceutical, significantly improving steel's hardenability.
5) It is also used in the production of high-temperature materials.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12,500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3,600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium-frequency electric furnaces, and three production lines for cladding. This sophisticated setup enables a seamless manganese series hot charging and mixing operation, ensuring high-quality production with increased yield and reduced consumption.
