Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial product with versatile applications including steel-making, cast iron production, aluminum industries (aviation, aircraft, & automobile parts), and silicon optoelectronic devices. Revered as the 'salt' of modern industries, this pivotal component is crafted from quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace, achieving an impressive 98% silicon content. The remaining composition includes trace amounts of iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are meticulously produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. Through a redox process, quartz transforms into molten silicon, which upon cooling solidifies into the large primal silicon metal lumps.
These primal lumps are then carefully processed into smaller, standardized pieces, ranging from 10-100mm, known as Silicon Metal Lumps.
With a striking silver-gray or dark gray hue and metallic luster, this product boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively used in refractory materials and powder metallurgy to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for the formation of high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is also vital in the production of monocrystalline silicon, an essential material in the high-tech field for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry applications, industrial silicon powder acts as an iron base alloy additive, improving the hardenability of silicon steel.
5) Silicon metal is crucial in manufacturing high-temperature materials.
Our diverse product portfolio includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, and silicon aluminum barium calcium. We also engage in exporting refractory materials and other metallurgical products, providing customized processing solutions to meet customer requirements.
Equipped with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines, our company ensures an efficient production process with manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system, delivering high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
