Silicon Metal is an indispensable asset in modern industries, utilized across steel-making, cast iron, aluminum manufacturing (aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts production), and silicon optoelectronic devices, among other fields. Often dubbed the "salt" of modern industries, silicon metal is created through the smelting of quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The silicon content primarily stands at approximately 98%, with residual impurities consisting of iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced by reducing quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. This process converts quartz into molten silicon, which solidifies upon cooling into large primal silicon metal lumps.
These primal silicon metal lumps are then processed into smaller, standard-sized lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm.
Silicon Metal boasts a silver-gray or dark gray color with a metallic luster. It features a high melting point, exceptional heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely used in refractory material and powder metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as the foundational raw material for the synthesis of organic silicon polymers.
3) Industrial silicon powder is processed into monocrystalline silicon, an essential material in high-tech fields for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder acts as an additive in iron base alloys and as a pharmaceutical ingredient in silicon steel, thereby enhancing steel hardenability.
5) Silicon metal is also crucial in the manufacturing of high-temperature materials.
Our primary offerings include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also engage in the export of refractory materials and other metallurgical products, tailored to meet customer specifications.
Equipped with one 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding production lines, our company excels in the efficient and high-quality production of manganese series hot charging and hot mixing systems. This infrastructure enables a seamless, one-stop production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
