Silicon Metal is a crucial industrial product renowned for its versatility. It plays an indispensable role in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum production (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts), and the silicon optoelectronic device industry, among others. Aptly called the 'salt' of modern industries, metal silicon is produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. With a silicon content of approximately 98%, its remaining impurities include iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are created in an electric heating furnace by smelting quartz and coke. The redox process transforms quartz into molten silicon, which solidifies upon cooling. Initially forming large lumps, the silicon metal is subsequently processed
into smaller, standard-sized lumps ranging from 10-100mm.
With its silver-gray or dark gray hue and metallic luster, Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, superior oxidation resistance, and high resistivity.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively utilized in refractory materials and powder metallurgy to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, silicon metal powder is fundamental for producing high polymers of organic silicon, serving as a basic raw material.
3) Industrial silicon powder is transformed into monocrystalline silicon, a vital material in the high-tech industry, essential for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder acts as an iron-based alloy additive, improving the hardenability and quality of silicon steel alloys.
5) Silicon metal is also essential in manufacturing high-temperature materials.

Our company operates with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium-frequency electric furnaces, and three production lines for cladding.
