Silicon Metal is an invaluable asset in modern industries, playing a crucial role in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum production (aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts), silicon optoelectronic devices, and many other sectors. Often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries, this exceptional metal is created by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. Comprising approximately 98% silicon, the remaining impurities include iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are crafted in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. Through a redox reaction, the quartz transforms into molten silicon. Upon cooling, this silicon solidifies into large primal lumps.
These primal silicon metal lumps are then processed into smaller, standardized sizes ranging from 10-100mm.
With a striking silver-gray or dark gray metallic luster, Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, exceptional heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively used in refractory materials and powder metallurgy to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as the foundational raw material for creating high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is also sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical raw material in the high-tech field for integrated circuits and electronic elements.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is valued as an iron-base alloy additive, enhancing the hardenability of steel.
5) Additionally, silicon metal is pivotal in producing high-temperature materials.
Our primary product offerings include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, silicon barium calcium, and more. We also specialize in the export of refractory materials and various metallurgical products, customizing our offerings to meet customer specifications.
Our state-of-the-art facility features a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This advanced setup allows us to execute a manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system, ensuring a seamless, high-quality, high-yield, and low-consumption production process.
