Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial product with wide-ranging applications including steelmaking, cast iron, aluminum (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), and silicon optoelectronic devices, among numerous other industries. Often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries, silicon metal is produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. It boasts a high silicon content of approximately 98%, with the remaining impurities comprising iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Produced in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke, silicon metal lumps are initially large molten masses that solidify upon cooling. These primal lumps are then processed
into smaller, standard-size lumps ranging from 10-100mm.
With a silver-gray or dark gray appearance and metallic luster, silicon metal exhibits a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively used in refractory materials and powder metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as the fundamental raw material for the formation of high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder can be sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a crucial raw material in high-tech fields for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is utilized as an iron base alloy additive, improving the hardenability of steel.
5) Silicon metal is also pivotal in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our primary products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, silicon barium calcium, among others. We also engage in exporting refractory materials and other metallurgical products. Custom processing of products is available to meet specific customer requirements.
The company operates with one 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium-frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This infrastructure supports our efficient manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system, ensuring a one-stop production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
