Customized FeCr Ferrochromium Low Carbon Ferro Chrome: Tailored to perfection, our low carbon Ferro Chrome is engineered to meet the exact specifications required by your steel production processes. Ensuring unparalleled quality and performance, this product is indispensable for achieving superior results.
The production of steel is the largest consumer of Ferro Chrome, especially the production of stainless steel with a chromium content of between 10 and 20%. Stainless steel manufacturing relies heavily on Ferro Chrome due to its ability to impart the desirable properties of strength, durability, and corrosion resistance.
Ferro-Chrome with chrome content below 56% is known as 'charge chrome' and produced from a chrome-containing ore with a lower chrome content. Alternatively, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, derived from higher grade ore, is preferred in specialist applications such as engineering steels. Here, the high Cr to Fe ratio and minimal levels of impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium are critical.
Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is indispensable during steel production for correcting chrome percentages without causing undesirable variations in carbon or trace element levels. This cost-effective alternative to metallic chrome is ideal for use in super alloys and other specialized melting applications.
