Our Silicon Calcium Barium Alloy is an advanced and highly efficient composite alloy in the barium series. Serving as both a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steelmaking, it also excels in dephosphorization (BaP2, BaP3). Additionally, it functions as an inoculant and modifier in casting processes, making it indispensable for achieving premium steel quality.
Barium significantly lowers the vapor pressure of calcium within steelmaking temperature ranges, enhancing the solubility of calcium in molten steel. Compared to silicon calcium alloy, using our silicon calcium barium alloy as a calcium source results in roughly double the calcium content in molten steel, even if only half the amount is used. This remarkable efficiency boosts the stability of calcium, minimizes oxidation, and maximizes the treatment efficacy of calcium in molten steel, ensuring superior metallurgical results.
