This versatile alloy now replaces aluminum for final deoxidation, serving the production of premium steel, specialty steels, and unique alloys. It is indispensable in manufacturing rail steel, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel-base alloys, titanium alloys, and other specialized alloys.
Calcium Silicon Alloys are paramount as deoxidizers and desulfurizers in high-grade steel production. Both Calcium and Silicon possess a robust chemical affinity for oxygen. Notably, Calcium's strong chemical bond extends to sulfur and nitrogen as well. The steel industry utilizes around 90% of the global CaSi output, underscoring its critical role.

The alloy is essential for modifying non-metallic inclusions. Calcium Silicon expertly controls the shape, size, and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions, thus enhancing the fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact resistance of steel products.
