Silicon Metal is an indispensable industrial marvel, utilized across a vast array of sectors including steel-making, cast iron, and aluminum production-catapulting the aviation, aircraft, and automotive industries. Additionally, it's pivotal in silicon optoelectronic devices and numerous other industries, truly earning its title as the 'salt' of modern manufacturing. Derived from the smelting of quartz and coke in electric heating furnaces, this metal boasts a primary silicon content of roughly 98%, with minor impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Produced in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke, Silicon Metal lumps undergo a fascinating transformation. Starting as a molten silicon liquid through redox reactions, the material cools into a solid form. Initially extremely large, these primal silicon metal lumps are then refined
into standardized smaller chunks, known as Silicon Metal Lumps, varying from 10-100mm in size.
With a striking silver gray or dark gray hue and a metallic luster, Silicon Metal is celebrated for its high melting point, exceptional heat resistance, impressive resistivity, and outstanding oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively used in refractory materials and power metallurgy industries, significantly enhancing heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as the foundational raw material for the formation of high polymers in organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder, upon sublimation to monocrystalline silicon, is vital in the high-tech sector, forming the cornerstone for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry applications, industrial silicon powder acts as a crucial iron base alloy additive, enhancing the pharmaceutical properties of silicon steel and thus improving the hardenability of steel.
5) Silicon metal is a key component in the fabrication of high-temperature materials.
Our primary offerings include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also specialize in the export of refractory materials and other metallurgical products, with customizable processing to meet client specifications.
Equipped with one 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines, the company excels in executing a seamless manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system. This enables a streamlined, one-stop production process that delivers high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
