Customized FeCr Ferrochromium: Precision Low Carbon Ferro Chrome
Steel production stands as the paramount consumer of Ferro Chrome, especially in crafting stainless steel that boasts a chromium content ranging between 10% and 20%. This material is indispensable for the premium quality steelmaking process.
Ferro-Chrome with chromium content below 56%, referred to as 'charge chrome', is produced from ore with a lesser chromium concentration. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, derived from superior grade ore, is predominantly utilized in specialized applications such as engineering steels where a high Cr to Fe ratio, alongside minimal levels of other elements like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium, is crucial.
Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is essential in steel production to fine-tune chrome percentages without introducing unwanted variations in carbon or trace elements. Additionally, it offers a cost-effective alternative to metallic chrome for use in super alloys and other specialized melting applications, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
