Barium plays a crucial role by significantly reducing the vapor pressure of calcium during steelmaking temperatures, enhancing calcium's solubility in molten steel. Compared to silicon calcium alloy, our silicon calcium barium alloy offers superior performance as a calcium source. Even with half the calcium addition of silicon calcium alloy, the calcium content in molten steel doubles, showcasing a marked improvement in stability. This indicates barium's protective nature towards calcium, effectively reducing calcium oxidation and achieving optimal calcium treatment in molten steel.
