Silicon Metal is a vital industrial product with diverse applications, including steel-making, cast iron, aluminum (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), and silicon optoelectronic devices. It is often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries. Produced from quartz and coke through electric furnace smelting, silicon metal primarily consists of 98% pure silicon. The remaining impurities include iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. Quartz undergoes reduction and transforms into molten silicon liquid, which solidifies upon cooling. Initially, the silicon metal lumps are quite large.
These large lumps are subsequently broken down into smaller, standard-sized pieces, typically measuring 10-100mm.
The silicon metal is silver-gray or dark gray with a metallic luster. It features a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is widely used in refractory materials and powder metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for synthesizing high-polymer organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is transformed into monocrystalline silicon, a critical raw material in high-tech fields for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundries, industrial silicon powder is employed as an additive in iron-based alloys and silicon steel, improving the hardenability of the steel.
5) Silicon metal is also utilized in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our primary products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also engage in exporting refractory materials and other metallurgical products, tailoring processing to customer needs.
Our company boasts a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This infrastructure enables us to perform manganese series hot charging and hot mixing systems, ensuring a seamless production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
