Silicon Metal is a remarkably vital industrial product that finds extensive applications in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum production (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts), silicon optoelectronic devices and a multitude of other industries. Revered as the 'salt' of modern industries, Metal Silicon is synthesized from quartz and coke within electric heating furnaces. With a principal silicon content of about 98%, the remaining impurities include iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are created within electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes redox reactions to form molten silicon liquid. Upon cooling, this liquid solidifies into the large primal silicon metal lumps.
These large silicon metal lumps are subsequently broken down into smaller, standardized lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm in size.
The lumps exhibit a distinctive silver-gray or dark-gray hue with a metallic luster. They are characterized by a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively used in the refractory material and power metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder acts as a fundamental raw material for the formation of organic silicon polymers.
3) Industrial silicon powder, when sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, serves as a crucial raw material in high-tech fields, notably in integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) Within the metallurgy and foundry sectors, industrial silicon powder is valued as an iron base alloy additive and as an alloying agent for silicon steel, enhancing the hardenability of steel.
5) Silicon metal is indispensable in manufacturing high-temperature materials.
Our flagship products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium, among others. We also specialize in exporting refractory materials and various other metallurgical products, tailored to meet customer specifications.
Our facilities feature a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This infrastructure enables streamlined operation processes for manganese series hot charging and hot mixing systems, achieving a one-stop production process that ensures high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
