Silicon Metal is a crucial industrial product used extensively in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum production (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts), and silicon optoelectronic devices, among other industries. Often dubbed the 'salt' of modern industries, Metal Silicon is produced from quartz and coke in electric heating furnaces. Its main ingredient is silicon with a content of approximately 98%, complemented by minor impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are crafted in electric heating furnaces using quartz and coke. The redox reaction of quartz results in molten silicon liquid, which solidifies upon cooling into large primal silicon metal lumps.
These primal silicon metal lumps are then broken down into smaller, standard-sized lumps, ranging from 10-100mm.
The silicon metal is characterized by its silver-gray or dark gray color with a metallic sheen. It boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively utilized in the refractory material and power metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for the formation of high polymers in organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is also sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical raw material in high-tech fields for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry applications, industrial silicon powder acts as an iron-base alloy additive and a pharmaceutical component for silicon steel, thereby improving the steel's hardenability.
5) Silicon metal plays a vital role in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our principal offerings include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, silicon barium calcium, among others. We also specialize in exporting refractory materials and various other metallurgical products, with the capability to process products according to customer specifications.
The company is equipped with one 206-cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium-frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This setup facilitates the manganese series hot charging and mixing system, ensuring a streamlined, one-stop production process distinguished by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
