Silicon Metal is an invaluable industrial product, pivotal in industries such as steel-making, cast iron, aluminum manufacturing (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), silicon optoelectronic devices, and numerous other sectors. Renowned as the 'salt' of modern industries, this metal is derived from quartz and coke through electric heating furnace smelting. Boasting a primary silicon content of approximately 98%, it contains minor impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lumps are produced by melting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The quartz undergoes a redox reaction, transforming into molten silicon liquid. Once cooled, this liquid solidifies into large primal silicon metal lumps. These sizable lumps are subsequently refined
into standardized smaller lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm in size.
Characterized by its silver-grey or dark-grey hue with a metallic luster, Silicon Metal features a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely used in refractory materials and powder metallurgy industries, Silicon Metal enhances heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the realm of organic silicon chemistry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for the formation of high polymers.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical ingredient in high-tech fields for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is utilized as an additive in iron-based alloys and as a pharmaceutical component in silicon steel alloys, thereby improving steel hardenability.
5) Crucial in the production of high-temperature materials, Silicon Metal plays a significant role.
Our primary offerings include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. Additionally, we export refractory materials and other metallurgical products, with customized processing available to meet specific customer requirements.
Equipped with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines, our company ensures an efficient production process. We utilize a hot charging and hot mixing system for manganese series, achieving one-stop production of high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
