Steel production, particularly stainless steel manufacturing, is the primary consumer of Ferro Chrome. Our product ensures optimal chromium content ranging between 10% and 20%, essential for superior stainless steel quality.
Ferro-Chrome with a chromium content below 56%, termed as 'charge chrome,' originates from chrome-containing ore with a lower chrome concentration. In contrast, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, derived from higher-grade ore, is indispensable in specialized applications like engineering steels, where a high Cr to Fe ratio and stringent control over impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium is critical.
Utilized in steel production, Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is pivotal for adjusting chrome percentages while maintaining stable carbon and trace element levels. It is a cost-effective alternative to metallic chrome, ideal for super alloys and unique melting applications.
