Experience the unparalleled quality and reliability of our premium ferrovanadium, directly sourced from the heart of the manufacturing industry.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) stands as an indispensable ferroalloy in the steel industry. Composed mainly of vanadium and iron, it contains trace impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. Manufactured through the carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or via aluminothermic reduction, this alloy plays a crucial role as an essential element additive in the production of vanadium-containing alloy steel and alloy cast iron, as well as in the manufacturing of permanent magnets.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium adjusts according to specific alloy formulations and manufacturing demands. Generally, the vanadium percentage ranges from 30% to 80%, with iron filling the balance. FeV alloys are categorized into FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80 types, all serving as pivotal additives in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Additionally, vanadium aluminum alloys, known as 'VQ' VAl, are essential in titanium alloy production.
