Product Description

Silicon carbide is renowned for its exceptional chemical stability, excellent thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, and outstanding wear resistance. Beyond its primary function as an abrasive, silicon carbide finds myriad applications. It is uniquely applied to turbines and cylinders to enhance durability, prolonging their lifespan by up to twice the norm. Its utility extends to refractory materials, offering heat shock resistance, lightweight form, high strength, and remarkable energy-saving benefits. Low-grade silicon carbide, with about 85% SiC, serves as an excellent deoxidizer, hastening steel production and improving quality control. Additionally, it's used to manufacture electric heating elements like silicon carbide rods.
