Experience the unparalleled excellence of premium ferrovanadium, sourced directly from our manufacturing epicenter to guarantee exceptional quality and reliability.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) stands as an indispensable ferroalloy within the steel industry. This alloy, primarily composed of vanadium and iron, incorporates minimal levels of impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. It can be produced either through the carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric arc furnace or via aluminothermic reduction. This essential element plays a vital role in the smelting of vanadium-containing alloy steel and alloy cast iron, and it's also pivotal in the creation of permanent magnets.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is tailored to specific alloy formulations and manufacturing needs, typically ranging between 30% to 80%, with the balance being iron. These FeV alloys are classified into three main types: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80, all of which are crucial additives in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Moreover, vanadium aluminum alloys, referred to as 'VQ' VAl, are essential in the production of titanium alloys.
