Introducing our exclusive premium-grade ferrovanadium, a product that originates from the very core of manufacturing excellence. This ensures an unmatched level of quality and reliability, making it the ideal choice for the most demanding industrial applications.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) is an indispensable element in the steel industry, renowned for its remarkable versatility and effectiveness. Primarily composed of vanadium and iron, it also includes trace amounts of sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. FeV is expertly crafted through the carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or by aluminothermic reduction. This vital alloy serves extensively as an additive in producing vanadium-enhanced alloy steel and cast iron, as well as in creating robust permanent magnets.
The vanadium content within ferrovanadium is meticulously tailored to match specific alloy compositions and manufacturing requirements, typically ranging between 30% and 80%, with iron constituting the remainder. FeV alloys are categorized into three primary types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80. Each variant plays a crucial role as an additive in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Additionally, vanadium aluminum alloys, commonly known as 'VQ' VAl, are essential in the production of titanium alloys.
