Silicon Metal is a highly valuable industrial product with versatile applications in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum manufacturing (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts production), and silicon optoelectronic devices, among other industries. Often referred to as the 'salt' of modern industries, Metal Silicon is produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The silicon content is predominantly about 98%, with the remaining impurities consisting of iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal Lump is produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes a redox reaction, transforming into molten silicon liquid, which solidifies upon cooling into large primal silicon metal lumps. These are then processed
into smaller, standard-size lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm.
This material boasts a silver-gray or dark gray color with a metallic luster. It features a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is widely used in refractory materials and powder metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as the essential raw material for high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a crucial raw material in high-tech fields for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry industries, industrial silicon powder acts as an additive for iron-base alloys and silicon steel, improving the hardenability of steel.
5) Silicon metal is integral to the production of high-temperature materials.
Our main products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also engage in the export business of refractory materials and other metallurgical products. Product processing can be tailored to customer specifications.
The company operates one 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three production lines with cladding capabilities. This comprehensive setup allows for an efficient, high-quality, high-yield, and low-consumption production process.
