Perfectly suited for the most challenging industrial applications, it sets an unmatched benchmark in the industry, redefining standards of excellence.
Ferrovanadium is a vital and highly revered alloy in the steel industry, celebrated for its multifaceted versatility and exceptional effectiveness. Primarily composed of vanadium and iron, it also includes trace elements like sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. Skillfully crafted with precision, FeV is produced through carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or through aluminothermic reduction, ensuring a superior, high-quality product. It is an indispensable additive in the production of vanadium-enriched alloy steel, cast iron, and robust permanent magnets, playing a pivotal role in the advancement of steel manufacturing.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is meticulously tailored to align precisely with specific alloy formulations and manufacturing demands, typically ranging from 30% to 80%, with iron completing the composition. FeV alloys are systematically categorized into three primary types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80. Each of these variants is an essential additive in the smelting process of both alloy and low-alloy steels. Furthermore, vanadium aluminum alloys, commonly referred to as 'VQ' VAl, are crucial in titanium alloy production, highlighting their indispensable role in the industry.
