Introducing our premium ferrovanadium, sourced directly from the heart of manufacturing excellence. This ensures an unparalleled standard of quality and reliability, perfect for the most demanding industrial applications.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) is a vital component in the steel industry, esteemed for its versatility and efficacy. Predominantly composed of vanadium and iron, it also includes minor amounts of sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. FeV is meticulously produced through carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or by aluminothermic reduction. This essential alloy is extensively used as an additive in the production of vanadium-enriched alloy steel and cast iron, and in the crafting of durable permanent magnets.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is tailored to specific alloy formulations and manufacturing needs, typically ranging from 30% to 80%, with iron completing the balance. FeV alloys are classified into three main types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80. Each type serves as a crucial additive in the smelting of both alloy and low-alloy steel. Moreover, vanadium aluminum alloys, often referred to as 'VQ' VAl, are indispensable in titanium alloy production.
