Product Description
 

Steel production is the largest consumer of Ferro Chrome, with stainless steel manufacturing, particularly, requiring a chromium content ranging from 10% to 20%.

Ferro-Chrome with a chrome content below 56% is referred to as 'charge chrome', produced from lower-grade chrome ores. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, derived from higher-grade ores, is predominantly utilized in specialized applications such as engineering steels. Here, a high Cr to Fe ratio and minimal levels of other elements, like sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium, are crucial.

Low-Carbon Ferro-Chrome is essential in steel production for adjusting chrome percentages without unwanted changes in carbon or trace element levels. It provides an economical alternative to metallic chrome for super alloys and other specialized melting applications.
