Based on the core material composition, the cored wire is categorized into single and composite types:
1) Single cored wire: Comprised of an alloy powder or a powdered nonmetallic compound additive as the core powder.
2) Composite cored wire: Features two or more alloy powders as the core powder.
The cored wire is classified into inner tap type and outer tap type based on wire arrangement.
Primarily used to purify steel impurities, elevate the quality of molten steel, enhance casting states, boost steel castability, and significantly improve alloy yield. It also reduces alloy consumption and cuts down steelmaking costs.
