Additionally, refractories crafted from silicon carbide exhibit striking features such as heat shock resistance, compact size, light weight, and unparalleled strength, yielding substantial energy savings. Moreover, lower-grade silicon carbide (approximately 85% SiC) serves as an outstanding deoxidizer, accelerating the steelmaking process, ensuring precise chemical composition control, and ultimately elevating steel quality. Furthermore, its application extends to the production of silicon carbide rods used as efficient electric heating elements.
