Silicon manganese alloy is a meticulously crafted fusion of manganese, silicon, iron, accompanied by traces of carbon and additional elements. Celebrated in the realm of iron alloys, it stands as a backbone in the industry, boasting significant consumption as second only to other electric furnace ferroalloys. The dynamic duo of manganese and silicon possesses exceptional affinity for oxygen, making it an indispensable component in steelmaking. The deoxidation process with manganese silicon alloy, resulting in products like mnsio3 and mn2sio4, occurs at melting points of 1270 ºC and 1327 ºC. This alloy offers a trifecta of advantages: a lower melting point, substantial particle size for buoyancy, and superior deoxidation results. Notably, the isolated deoxidation burning loss rates for manganese and silicon stand at 46% and 37%, respectively, while our manganese silicon alloy improves this to a mere 29%. Production is achieved through the reduction of manganese ore or slag, manganese oxide, and silicon dioxide with carbon in a submerged arc furnace, ensuring impeccable quality.
