Discover premium ferrovanadium, meticulously sourced directly from the heart of manufacturing excellence. Our ferrovanadium ensures unparalleled quality and reliability, making it the top choice for industrial applications.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) stands as a vital ferroalloy, extensively employed in the steel industry. This significant alloy primarily consists of vanadium and iron, along with minor impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. The production of FeV involves either carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or aluminothermic reduction. Renowned for its diverse applications, this alloy is crucial as an additive in smelting vanadium-containing alloy steel and alloy cast iron, as well as in the creation of permanent magnets.
Ferrovanadium's vanadium content varies according to specific alloy formulations and production needs. Typically, the vanadium content ranges from 30% to 80%, with iron constituting the remainder. FeV alloys are categorized into FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80 based on vanadium content, all serving as essential additives in smelting alloy and low-alloy steel. Moreover, vanadium aluminum alloys, commonly known as 'VQ' VAl, are critical in titanium alloy production.
